Practices for Mindful Living
Practices for Mindful Living

Mindfulness practices on and off the mat can be used as therapeutic tools to restore, empower, balance, and to increase health and happiness to one’s life.
As a yoga teacher my goal is to help people see their potential and have fun in the process. We’ll explore this through yoga classes, workshops, retreats, cooking, lectures, blog posts and more. I work with those who are ready to make self-care a priority and are interested in the path of yoga, yoga teachers looking for mentorship, and corporate executives and companies who want to integrate wellness and healthy living in their life and work.
Mindful vs. Mind Full:
8 Tips to Incorporate Mindfulness into Your Everyday Life

My teaching style puts people at ease to help them feel comfortable whether they are brand new to yoga or looking to incorporate self-care practices into their lives.
I custom build practices for clients as they need depending on where they are in their life – injuries, etc. When working with me, one can expect to be held accountable and receive check-ins full of care and support. I want to empower people to be able to do this all on their own, so they are the ones doing the work and I am the one giving them a push and offer a little guidance here and there.
Since my first yoga teacher training in 2004, my experience in the yoga world has been vast and expanded beyond my wildest dreams. For 9+ years I managed CorePower Yoga studios and lead multiple yoga retreats in Tulum, Mexico. I mentored numerous teachers along the way, and lead teacher trainings and lifestyle programs. Most recently, I completed a Yoga Therapy training, which provides tools to help people, especially those who are in pain. Yoga therapy practices can give you pain relief through gentle movements, yoga poses, mudras, yoga nidra, relaxation, meditation and more. I firmly believe as yoga teachers we must meet our clients where they are and see their potential beyond their current state.

I like to help people in the real world. You don’t have to live in an ashram to experience the benefits of yoga. I help show you how can yoga help you in the day to day, not just the hour you spend on your mat.
Through my yoga therapy practice I meet individual client’s specific health and wellness needs. I offer continuing education workshops for instructors and public workshops focused on varying aspects of yoga, health, nutrition and mindfulness. For the past 9 years I have helped people seek adventure and rejuvenation by organizing and leading international yoga retreats. I also act as an independent consultant for yoga studios helping guide them to grow community, develop programs and provide business solutions.

What I’m up to these days
These days my focus is more on yoga education with specialized workshops and privates with a therapeutic approach, as well as mentoring instructors wherever they might be on their yoga instructor path. I teach public classes and workshops at cambio. yoga. Since 2010, I’ve been a fitness adjunct for Center for Creative Leadership where I work as a fitness and nutrition coach for senior level executives. I also do similar contracted work where I present to groups on the importance of fitness, nutrition and reducing stress. Lastly, as a lover of travel and exploring the world, I organize and coordinate yoga/wellness retreats for companies and for the public. Our next adventure will be in Tulum, Mexico, October 27-31. Won’t you join?
